SCARS Adoption + BBQ Event Registration

On June 10, 2023, Sturgeon County Kennels is thrilled to team up with SCARS for an unforgettable Adoption Event! If you’re considering adding a new furry member to your family, this is the perfect opportunity! 🐶🐱

During the event, you’ll have the chance to meet some adorable cats and dogs available for adoption from SCARS, while also exploring the offerings of our store and kennel. Plus – we’re having a BBQ so come grab a hot dog and snacks at the event!

If you plan to adopt, we recommend completing the adoption applications from the SCARS website in advance as there can be some additional paperwork you’ll need to bring. However, if you haven’t had a chance to do so, don’t worry – you’ll be able to start the application process on the day as well! 👍

For those interested in adopting a dog, please bring your current dogs along to ensure compatibility and a harmonious coexistence. 🐕‍🦺🐕 Please note that while the adoption process can be initiated and even completed, dogs can only go home on the same day if the SCARS screening process is completed. This process ensures the well-being of the dogs and ensures they find the right forever homes. So, if you’re approved through the screening, you can take your new canine companion home the same day! Juist remember to bring an extra leash with you.

The same is true for cats. 🐱 Remember to bring a kennel for their safe journey to their new forever home.

Please be aware that the SCARS adoption application may require additional information, such as a lease agreement that shows pets are permitted in your apartment.
